The AquaMats® Process is a modification of the Bardenpho Process whereby diverse fixed film microbial communities are utilized to reduce the dependence on Mixed Liquor Suspended Solids (MLSS). The reliance on fixed film communities eliminates the need for clarifiers, sludge recirculation and sludge wasting, resulting in reduced capital and operation costs.
As a turnkey system provider, we supply design engineering and full construction of advanced wastewater treatment systems that reliably reduce harmful environmental pollutants with low power costs and without excessive operation and maintenance costs. In addition to its own manufacturing and design capabilities, Meridian also draws on a number of long-term relationships with other organizations, which add geotechnical, structural, electrical engineering and field construction service capabilities. Our partners in these areas are local (Washington DC Metro), national and international companies.
Collectively, our consortium approach brings decades of experience to bear in solving complex problems utilizing many different types of products singularly, or with comprehensive plants incorporating multiple unit operations assembled to treat complex wastewaters. Our engineers and scientists have experience with getting the systems built and operational. Through our hands-on construction and O&M experience, we select cost effective alternatives for our clients to provide the very best treatment options to achieve year-round compliance with their discharge standards. Our foundation in the “common-sense” areas associated with wastewater treatment translates into systems designed with the construction contractor, as well as the operations and maintenance staff in mind.
